The Wisdom to Listen

~ Women carry immense wisdom deep within the vessel of their bodies ~

About four weeks ago I began to feel a familiar energy well up inside of me.  It did not take but a few days before I knew what my Soul was calling for. Each year my sister of another mother and I spend a long weekend together - oftentimes in the barren landscapes of Southern CO/Northern NM where hot springs, hiking, coffee shops and local, quiet bars are all within reasonable distances. The saying, "It feeds my Soul" is an understatement. Given that my newest young man is just now 8 months old, my identity and purpose for the past 18 or so months has lovingly evolved around creating life, housing life and nurturing life - An experience so profound that only a woman, in her grace and power, is able to hold. My system also knew that it was time to feed another piece of it. As I traveled across Colorado I felt deep within that this experience runs within the veins of all women. For we are all sisters of the same cloth.

Women have an incredible role on this planet. Because of this it can become difficult to honor all facets of the immensely diverse landscape within and find balance with that of the outside world. Because women are innately aware that they are a central part of balance, the 'shoulds' of the world can, when moving too quickly, begin to be carried on her shoulders... I 'should' feel this way, I 'should' have responded like this, I 'should' stay home though I so badly want to (fill in the blank), I 'should' have done this two years ago... The brain's interpretation of expectations has begun to cancel out the wisdom that each woman has stored deep within.

Woman created life. All of it. Yep - you. And him. And her. And that. Everything. With the exception of the seahorse (random;)), all of creation has come from a woman. Really, stop reading for a moment. Sit with this - ALL OF CREATION HAS COME FROM A WOMAN. Breath it in.  When we sit in a space of truly honoring this, then it feels that we must also ask the question, "How is it that we minimize the inner knowing that each woman has when the very vessel of the woman has brought all of what is, into manifestation?" Women - You know some sh*t. Feel it. Stand firmly in it. Maybe even place your hands on your hips when saying it aloud. ;) In all seriousness,

You know far more than the intellectual brain gives credit for and when you listen, when you honor that inner whisper, you not only open yourself but inevitably those around you, to worlds of creative possibility. Remember, all that is has been created because the woman allowed the intuitive nature of her body and spirit to do what it 'knew' it needed to do, without the intellect telling her what it 'should' do.

Remember -

To close your eyes and remind yourself of the ever-present wisdom within you. Standing in presence with the fear of the 'shoulds,' within my own world, four weeks ago I chose to honor the feeling and answer the call. On this trip I intersected with people who had messages for me in this chapter of my life and I have already recognized how these messages are benefiting me and my family. I didn't allow the narrative that I 'should' be doing anything other than what I 'feel' and now my family feels the vibration of an uplifted mother and wife. I share with many women who I work with - If it's truly good for you -  meaning you feel light, love, conscious passion, freedom -  then it's good for your children, your husband, your girlfriend, etc. As women we do not 'run away' from life's circumstances, we run 'into' the movement of our Soul's rhythm, the vortex or the Spirit's need and subsequently create more life for those around us.

When a woman honors her needs she honors those around her. When she honors her needs she gives others the opportunity to learn from her behavior and the silent doer's teachings are what vibrate most intensely.

Women, trust the wisdom within you. Each innate feeling is a gift and a message..
